Review Uglies By: Scott Westerfeld

Uglies (Uglies, #1)Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So as for my very first Dystopian book I give this 5 Stars! I loved it! It was a bit slow at first but it started getting better and better with every page which was awesome. My favorite characters where Tally & David. I loved there little romance and I really hope that If she turns pretty like she planned to in the end that David rescues and has his mom cure her, because I love them as a couple they fit together so perfectly it seems. As they say opposites attract =) At first when Tally found out she had to be a spy to become pretty I was so on board with the whole thing because I wanted her to be able to be with her parents and Peris. But then when she got there and we met David I did a complete 180 and I wanted her to stay in the smoke and not betray them which is why I was glad when they kissed and she decided to burn her locket. I was so confused by the next chapter when the invasion happened I was like WHAT!! SHE DESTROYED IT HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!! I tried thinking back to when she first arrived at the smoke to see if like any clues were there as to how it happened, but then I read when Dr. Cable said if it got destroyed we’d come get you and that made my heart sink because I knew then that it was Tally’s fault, even though she didn’t mean too. I was so excited when she crawled into the cave and David was there it was like a total miracle =) Hmm what else is there to say.. Knowing me I thought that I would be all upset because Tally & Shay weren’t friends anymore because Shay figured everything out but I didn’t really care much. I was much more intrigued with David & Tally’s relationship then I was with her and Shays friendship. That might sound bad but it’s how I felt! Well I hope you enjoyed my review pretty please and thank you if you do leave your comments below =)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

** Spoiler Alert** So i just won this e-book on Saturday i think it was. I started reading it late Sunday night and just finished it a few minutes ago. I adored it! I didn’t think i’d be able to read a love story because i recently just went through a break up with my boyfriend of 3 years, so i didn’t think i would be able too. But i was very wrong i couldn’t put the book down. I laughed when it was appropriate and i got upset when a couple crappy things happened to the main character Renee, But i still loved it. Now usually in the books i read i don’t like all the characters but in this one i really liked them all. Renee, Mark, Shelley, Ashley, and then Ethan. And i have to say Renee and Ethan were so cute together. I was so surprised when i found out that Ethan was THE CUDDLER!! Omg i was so afraid that they were going to break up and that Renee and Shelley wouldn’t be friends anymore, but that didn’t happen and i’m so glad it didn’t!! I think it’s cool that Renee had so much luck with the online dating thing. I think if there’s going to be a sequel it should be Marks story about how the whole thing is for him. I think that’d be pretty cool, but i’m not saying i don’t want to know what happens with Renee & Ethan because i really really do! But maybe her’s can be like a third book or just little parts in the second book just like Mark had in the first book! Well i hope you enjoyed my review!! Leave comments down below!!!

The Book ThiefThe Book Thief by Markus Zusak

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So this book started off a little slow, but in the end i of course loved it. At first I was confused i didn’t know what was going on with Liesel, i wasn’t sure if she was the book thief or if someone else was. I wasn’t sure about Rosa I didn’t like her very much in the beginning. I’d have to say that my favorite character was probably Hans. He was so good to Liesel even though she wasn’t even his own daughter. I loved that he sat in her room with her when she had nightmares and wet her bed night after night, and slept in the chair next to her bed while she slept, and taught her too read, kept her secretes from Rosa. He did so much for her, he was awesome!! I thought the story was going to be a bit more sad. I mean there was parts where i teared up like when Rudy died, and her parents. Also when she saw Max along with all of the other Jews. But i was expecting something awful like every other chapter. I’m not sure why i expected that but i did. Liesel was very lucky, she got fed by her parents, her dad was always there, she had Rudy as a best friend, and she got to read in the Mayors library from time to time which was cool. I don’t know what else to say about this book other then that i just flat out loved it!! Tell me what you thought about this book in comments below!!!

Waiting on Wednesday!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event. Hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine That spotlights all the books that we’re eagerly anticipating!!

Here’s the books that i absolutely can’t wait for!!!!

Matched By: Ally Condie

Goodreads Description: In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky – taken by the Society to his certain death – only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander – who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart – change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

Drink Slay Love By: Sarah Beth Durst

Goodreads Description: Pearl is a sixteen-year-old vampire… fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and mostly evil… until the night a sparkly unicorn stabs her through the heart with his horn. Oops.

Her family thinks she was attacked by a vampire hunter (because, obviously, unicorns don’t exist), and they’re shocked she survived. They’re even more shocked when Pearl discovers she can now withstand the sun. But they quickly find a way to make use of her new talent. The Vampire King of New England has chosen Pearl’s family to host his feast. If Pearl enrolls in high school, she can make lots of human friends and lure them to the King’s feast — as the entrees.

The only problem? Pearl’s starting to feel the twinges of a conscience. How can she serve up her new friends—especially the cute guy who makes her fangs ache—to be slaughtered? Then again, she’s definitely dead if she lets down her family. What’s a sunlight-loving vamp to do?

I hope you enjoyed the two books that i’m eagerly awaiting this week! Leave your comments below with either your books that your awaiting, or the link to your own post. Thanks guys!!

The Gift of Illusion: A Paranormal ThrillerThe Gift of Illusion: A Paranormal Thriller by Richard Brown

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So i won this e-book on Sunday. I started reading it Monday morning, and finished it around 8 PM last night. Thar’s pretty quick for me considering im a slowish reader. Anyway I really loved this book, and i actually emailed the author telling him i loved it which was awesome. I could not put this book down the whole time i was reading it I could not put it down. When i first found out about the book it was on someone else’s blog, and i read the description, and i was like wow this sounds really good. So when i got it i was so excited to read, a couple of times i almost cried there was a couple of sad parts. I’d have to say my favorite character had to be Issac i loved that he had such a tragedy happen to him in the past, and he was still working and he still had like a smart alec tone to the way he talked to some people especially his partner Simmons. I was really sad that he died by the way because he was really starting to do good. But i’d rather him die then Amy, because you know that just would of crushed Issac. A part that really freaked me out was when Issac put the gun to himself. Oh man i knew that he really wasn’t going to do it but it still made me nervous that he would. I’m glad that he didn’t do it he’s a great character, and a really really great dad. I can’t wait to read more of Richard Brown’s Work!!!
